Childbirth in History

SINCE THE 1980s I’ve been researching and collecting examples of childbirth as it’s depicted in art and medical illustration, from pre-history to the present. I’m  currently working on a revised edition of Mother and Midwives, an illustrated book on the history of birth as depicted in art. I hope it will be available for purchase in 2017.
